CBR Research Grants

General Information

The CBR Program accepts proposals in April for June awards.

The goal of the CBR Program is to enhance collaborative research between Baystate Medical Center clinicians and the University of Massachusetts Amherst faculty. Eligible research projects must have two Co-Principal Investigators, one each from UMass Amherst and Baystate Medical Center.

CBR Research Grants provide initial support for physicians and scientists to collaborate on a biomedical project. The funds are intended to serve as "seed funds" to help the collaborative team develop preliminary data and a track record of collaboration for competitive extramural funding applications.

The Program Oversight Committee reviews all project proposals submitted to the CBR Program and determines scientific merit for funding.

Summaries of projects that have been funded by CBR are available for previous years.
