The 2-year Family Planning Fellowship had success filling its first year position through the Fellowship in Family Planning matching process. Their first fellow, Antonella Lavelanet, DO, JD will start at Baystate on July 1, 2014.
Dr. Lavelanet earned her DO from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine and her JD from Rutgers University School of Law. She received her residency training in Obstetrics-Gynecology at Lankenau Medical Center, Main Line Health, Wynnewood, PA.
According to Dr. Katharine O'Connell White, Family Planning Fellowship Program Director, her program had 6 applicants out of a total of 31 this year. "Five made it here for interviews, we ranked all five, and got our first choice!"
